emotional landscapes
Central to my creative process is the delicate art of constructing emotional landscapes. Just as the elements of the earth evolve over time, so to do our inner landscapes. Emotions, experiences, and memories layer upon one another, creating intricate terrains that shape our identities. I strives to capture the essence of these emotions—the joy that sparkles like sunlight on fresh snow, the melancholy that echoes in the stillness of a frozen forest, and the hope that blooms like the first flowers of spring. Each brushstroke is a testament to the complexities of the human heart and mind.
imagined idioma
Our past is written in books and letters, pages of old journals, scraps of notes discarded and forgotten. When we look back, through the prism of time passed, the words make no sense. Stripped of the emotions we felt when giving birth to them, now they lie there on the page, unintelligible.
Imagined idioma is a work in many parts, inspired by the physical forms of books, journals, letters, and notes. The idea of scraps, fragments, now existing outside of their original context, deconstructed into a new form, into a new existence. The language is imaginary, an invented idiom where there is no alphabet and is not meant to be understood. It is an expression of the relationship between writing and drawing, where writing is art and art is writing. The boundary between visual art and poetry is not redefined, but rather blurred and erased; the two becoming one.

fem- minina
My figurative work is fractured and distorted, framed by my own experiences as a woman. My interest is in the depiction of femininity, its evolution and social revelence, drawing deeply on myth, history and psychoanalysis. My work transcends the confines of conventional representation, urging the viewer to contemplate the layers of significance beneath the surface. It resonates with the echoes of a world shaped by histories and stories, where the fusion of diverse cultures and the depths of human psychology converge in a harmonious yet dissonant symphony.
sile na gig
The "Sile na Gig" project aims to illuminate the mysterious and enigmatic Sile na Gig symbols that adorn ancient Irish buildings. Rooted in folklore and archaeology, these discreet and sometimes provocative stone carvings depict a figure displaying exaggerated feminine attributes. The project seeks to uncover the cultural significance of these symbols, exploring their potential connections to fertility rituals, goddess worship, and societal perceptions of femininity in medieval Ireland. Through meticulous documentation, research, and artistic interpretation, the project not only aims to shed light on this obscure aspect of Irish history but also to spark conversations about the intersections of art, spirituality, and gender in societies of the past and present.
