the sky above me: many views from a window
The sky has many moods and acts as an allegory for our emotions. At this time of transition, when I seek to make sense of my life and how it will now be, I find solace in watching the sky, seeing it mutate. From calm and blue, to overcast, dreary grey, to the wild abandon of a storm, it mirrors my own inner landscape.
This project was undertaken over six months in 2018 from my balcony in Broumana, Lebanon. From it I watched the sky as it melted into the water, the lights of the port and the ships out at sea. It became my world. The view from my self imposed prison.
